DAVID MAGUIRE – Project / Design Engineer

Project Design Engineer Dave Maguire has a unique working role within Somex Automation; as well as being based at our design office he also regularly works for extended periods on specific design projects within our client companies in a project management consultancy capacity.

This external role provides a quick turnaround for our customers’ urgent design requirements and helps build long-term relationships with key clients.

A graduate of Mechanical Engineering Dave has been employed by Somex Automation since 2008, during that time he has been involved in some of the major growth phases of Somex Automation for example introduction of our Quality Management System and change over from Auto Cad to Solid Works.

Dave’s has multi-sectoral design experience and provides robust design solutions to each of our customers’ individual needs. In fact, one of his recent designs was nominated by our customer for an Innovation Award.

When he is not working with colleagues in Somex Automation or our clients David enjoys nothing more than joining teammates of another kind for a game of soccer.
