MICHAEL WALL – MANAGING DIRECTOR

Managing Director and Somex Automation Founder Michael Wall manages the companies design capability. Liaising with customers from the outset, his role is to keep their needs at the heart of the process, interpreting requirements and effectively translating these needs to his engineers. As the head of a highly capable design team Michael leads the concept development process through to the final innovation or process integration.

Michael believes in relationship building with Customers. He is determined to keep Somex Automation as the first port of call when an issue arises and works to maintain the company’s reputation as the “go-to” resource amongst its growing list of national and international clients.

Michael has a firm reputation in the industry for providing innovative design solutions and often for situations that previously were considered not suited to automation. He boasts a Degree in Engineering from University of Limerick and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Sales & Marketing. He has spent over 25 years working in a variety of different industries, moving into consultancy work in 2000 before setting up Somex Automation.

With an enviable track record in providing bespoke solutions Michael’s key strength is his experience in the key disciplines of mechanical design and control. Somex Automation employs engineers of both disciplines in-house to ensure customers have access to the full range of design and problem-solving skills.
