RICHARD DÉBARBOUILLÉ – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Richard Débarbouillé is involved in both the bespoke machine design and the on-going product development for our standard products portfolio.

A designer with true vision Richard has a number of patents and awards to his credit, including the internationally renowned Red Dot Award. His experience across a range of industries gives Richard real insight into the requirements of somex customers, and he enjoys the challenge of innovating and developing new technologies and manufacturing processes.

Richard joined Somex Automation in 2012 and has over 15 years of experience in product and mechanical design. He has dual degrees in Mechanical and Production Design and Mechanical and Off-Shore Engineering.

Richard relishes the opportunity to provide the best value solution to Somex Automation’s clients, his experience in design concepts, material and component selection ensure a healthy return on investment.

When he is not busy providing a new direction for Somex Automation’s customers, he is negotiating the hills around West Cork on his mountain bike.
